Invisible Emails

You can filter out and send junk mail directly to your trash file based on a set of rules. Everything that starts with ADV or includes “this mail is in compliance with…” But sometimes these junk email rules are not always accurate they filter out important emails as well.
Sometimes it’s better to let some spam slip through than filter out something that is important
You should comb through any automated follow-up emails or newsletters you send out and remove anything that might trigger a spam filter. Sometimes this is something you can’t do anything about so it might be better if you sent the email to yourself to check it out first. Outlook junk filtering rule are the harshest. If the email is not filtered you’re OK but if it is play with it until it is accept
Here’s some things to look for you may not expect. They will trigger junk mail filters in Outlook and keep the email from being read.
“FREE”- When in ALL CAPS anywhere in your email.. You shouldn’t use ALL CAPS for anything if you can avoid it.
“sales@anydomain”- If this is in the from address.
“extra income”- When found anywhere in the message
“for free?” or “for free!”- When found anywhere in the message. There are quit a few uses for this phrase outside of junk email.
There are quite a bit more rules that will trigger junk email filters so remember to test the email yourself to make sure. This will to a certain degree increase the number of people that actually read the mail you send.

Most people determine by the “Subject” heading if they’ll read or delete the emails. The subject matter should interest their curiosity.
Here are some hot tips:
• Think of your email “Subject” line as if it were a teaser copy on the envelope of a direct mail piece. This is to get the email opened.
• Think of your email “Subject” line as the heading on a sales letter to get it opened.
Apply the principals of writing a good teaser copy and headlines to the art and science of writing good email subject lines.
• Put an offer in the subject line.

Type you offer in the 60 or so characters you have available in your Subject line. Test different ways to word your offer.
• Put your URL, link, response code or affiliate link code in the Subject line, with a action to call. For example:
Check out www.whatever.com/12345
If your email message ends with a call to action that sends the reader to the same place, why not put it up front in the Subject line. The reader will go there directly without opening the email.
